    Default Here Bob....these are jigs.....

These trump your little ones. lol

These are 2 ounce banana heads cast up with 60 pound stinger wires and hung with #2 Gammi wide gaps. The jig hook is a 7/0. I use these for crappies when they won't hit the smaller 1/32 bait shown along with the somewhat larger units. I aim for the crappie's head and try to knock them out. If I miss the crappie the sonic plunk stuns them and the simply come floating up to the surface where I wait with the net.

The big jigs are my Lake Trout jigs for use in Lake Superior. They are about 5" in length and weigh up at 3 ounces when finished. They get a sucker or cisco for some meat as a teaser. The trout are jigged in water up to 175 feet deep.

Those are nice. Did you make them. The would make a great striper jig as well.

Them are purty. I've tied a few like that but not that big. Nice work, especially the eyes.

Great Job! We used stuff like that on Lake Erie going after big Walleye.

Yes, I make these. The blue over white is my favorite color of the four patterns shown but all of them are great Lake Trout producers.

Here's a look at how that stinger wire is hung on the hook prior to casting. The copper wire at at the bend of the hook helps keep the proper orientation os the stinger wire prior to and while in the mold for casting. Its removed after the casting is done.
