Here Bob....these are jigs.....
These trump your little ones. lol
These are 2 ounce banana heads cast up with 60 pound stinger wires and hung with #2 Gammi wide gaps. The jig hook is a 7/0. I use these for crappies when they won't hit the smaller 1/32 bait shown along with the somewhat larger units. I aim for the crappie's head and try to knock them out. If I miss the crappie the sonic plunk stuns them and the simply come floating up to the surface where I wait with the net.
The big jigs are my Lake Trout jigs for use in Lake Superior. They are about 5" in length and weigh up at 3 ounces when finished. They get a sucker or cisco for some meat as a teaser. The trout are jigged in water up to 175 feet deep.
