The secret is to let them dry.

I dry my nibbles in the sun for a couple of hours and then put them on the hook and slide up into the tube. They last all day like this, and it helps keep the tube from getting pulled down as much.

CMJ- that makes a lot of sense, I will try that for sure. I never thought of that, oh well, never to late to learn.
I like to try new stuff.
But while the subject of nibbles is up for discussion...I'll add that it is true as stated above, you have to set out a few nibbles while your fishing to achieve the proper "hardness" for the nibbles. I have found if they get to hard they don't work as well, fish just don't get as excited about them.Just right they stay on good, sometimes even catch multiple fish on same one.
The chartreuse chromaglow is my favorite. The nibbles provide a "target" for the fish and help to disguise the hook. The small fish have become masters at stealing them.So many people use them they have become accustom to them and try to strip them without getting hooked.
They work as well for bluegill, redear, all the bass species, catfish, white bass etc. as they do for crappie.
I was the biggest skeptic alive when all these type products came out.I mean the laugh out loud type old curmudgeon.
I ain't laughing anymore.I don't have em I'd about as soon stay home, not quite but almost.
