Thread: Hook Location

I fish size 1 hook with 1/8 oz and 1/0 hook with 3/16-1/4 oz. I too get hooks in the eye socket of smaller fish. I believe it is due to the bigger size hook I'm using.

I don't know if it is hook size as much as the nature of the bite. I don't change hook size but some days I will get repeated deep hook sets while other times every thing is in the upper lip. Yet again some days I get bit but can't hook a thing. Some days they are more aggressive than others. Maybe?
