I fished the Arkie rig side by side with a hand tied Capps rig and could never see any difference, I really like the simplicity of the Arkie, use 1 Oz mostly

The half oz rig with a 1/8 jig on bottom and a 1/16 on top and both tipped with minnows gives me somewhere between 3/4 oz and 1 oz total and works great.

Do you have you add your own leaders to the arkie rigs though

I use no knot quick clips and can easily change out jigs or hooks without haveing to re rig.

Short 6 in. leader on top and 14 in. on bottom with loop knots and quick clips

You can also pre-tie some baits up, jigs, hooks, whatever you use, with short peices of line, and hand them from your rod holders. I have a piece of foam around the horizontal shaft, the tends to collect baits as i change them anyway. Then, like "G" said, use the quick clip, and changing out is a breeze. These rigs have a big 3-way on top to, so if you tie a snap on the end of your mainline, you can totally alter your rig with new baits, or a different size weight, quicker than re-tieing the whole thing.

I do something else at the 3 way too, instead of hooking the main line to the swivel that would be straight with the rig I hook mine to the swivel that is at 90 degrees, kinda holds the top rig out a little more.

Well I bought two packs at Walmart tonight but still a bit pricey IMO since you still have to add leaders to them. If they were cheaper I'd def buy more or if they already had leaders attached I'd be all over them. Can't wait to try them
