Gonna be at the Mississippi camp the weekend before. Might just go up to Tennessee for a couple days from that one,then head down to Talquin. In fact, that sounds like my plan. Miss Mae says why not! lol

I am planning on being there

I have had a couple of PM's asking about what to bring, etc....We will be selling tickets that week for $1.00 per ticket or 25 tickets for $20.00. That money will be used to fund all the food for the fish fry and the hot dog lunch. Whatever money is left over will be split up to give away as gift certificates on the day of the Slabfest for the top 5 Big Fish of the day. (Last year, if my memory serves me correctly, we gave away 5 gift certificates from Lake Talquin Lodge for $40.00 each.) We will also have trophies/plaques for the top 3 places for the heaviest 5 fish and the Big Fish. Nobody is required to bring anything, but we aren't going to turn anything down if you just want to bring something. The more tickets you buy, the better chance of winning door prizes. All of the money from the sell of the tickets will be put right back into the event. The Fruit Jar Tournament on Friday is for those that want to have a friendly tournament and is only for those that want to participate. I think the entrance fee last year was $10 per boat and $5 for the Big Fish.

It's easy to spot hooker...he'll be wearing his favorite shirt....
