I've come to believe in it. Had too many times where the bite starts and ends almost like it is synchronized with when the best fishing times are supposed to be. It's crazy. Had one night last fall that Crappie were biting really good, wind was still, had a light in the water and minnows everywhere around the boat. They were hitting almost as fast as the bobber hit the water. Then the Moon got up just enough to get over a tree line and the direct light from the moon hit the water. The bite stopped and even the minnows left as fast as if you had flipped a light switch. Literally that fast. So I do think there is some effect.

I have tried to pay attention to the solar lunar effect for the last 40 years of commercial and recreational fishing. I believe it does have some effect but I believe local conditions have greater effect, such as barometric pressure and water conditions. Just my opinion.

Believe there is a lot to it. However, I find that the trump card is weather conditions and water movement in the reservoirs.
