Skip. Here on Kentucky Lake they go to deep hard bottom creek points and humps just like the bass do.20 feet is a good depth to start looking. Shell beds also help. A local Web site called "wired 2 Fish" has a excellent thread on it that includes how to use your electronic to find them. Their article uses live bait but these small jigs work well also. Sometimes I tip jig with half of a Gulp waxie. Google them or check their Facebook page tp read it.

Tied some bugs for dropshotting deep summer time bluegill and red ears. They have painted brass heads, micro chenille bodies, rabbit hair tails and frog hair silicone legs on a couple of them. They actually weigh 1/100oz. They are tied on #10 Mustad wet fly hooks. Don't know if they will work but I had a good time this afternoon tying them up. They are also my favorite color for bluegill baits.
