If you know how to find them please tell!

Skip I wish I knew also. I was jigging a Flexit Spoon last January for White Perch in 50 FOW and caught a medium size (hand size) Bluegill. Both of us were shocked that he hit right on the bottom at that depth.

Skip. Here on Kentucky Lake they go to deep hard bottom creek points and humps just like the bass do.20 feet is a good depth to start looking. Shell beds also help. A local Web site called "wired 2 Fish" has a excellent thread on it that includes how to use your electronic to find them. Their article uses live bait but these small jigs work well also. Sometimes I tip jig with half of a Gulp waxie. Google them or check their Facebook page tp read it.

They are also my favorite color for bluegill baits.

I will look at that, thank you! I know they regularly go o to 25' and 35' water depth. Only time I got lucky in Spring was a long time ago, in the 1970's and we were bass fishing with a soft plastic worm. It had got so the bite was done and we were not getting any bites until we found a spot In 11' or 13' of water around one stick up and they kept eating the tails off. So we ran back to the marina and got some crickets (we always kept some UL rods ready in the boat) and went back. We ended up with 42 and the smallest was 3/4 pound and the biggest was 1 3/4 pounds. These really big bream beds are never in shallow water like the others! I use my electronics to find beds for spring, but this year never got the chance to go try the beds I found in 13' water depth. Now that the Hydrilla has come back a good bit, the beds are probably not findable where the Hydrilla has come back in full force!
look forward to seeing how they find them with sonar in the deeper water.
