    Default Ft. Loudon, 4/23

Fished Ft Loudon this morning up by dam. Crappie were holding at 25ft. in 30ft. of water. All the fish were females with eggs. The eggs did not look right, they were pale and mushy looking.Anybody know what causes this. I would think crappie right now should be in 3ft of water not 30.Name: IMG_0180.JPG

I was in Notchy Creek today, fish were hugging the bottom in some spots, middle of the water column in other areas, none less than 5 FOW. I was in 18 FOW down to 8' near the ramp. One guy told me the water has come up 3' this week, and I could not argue with that. It looked like summer pool to me today.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

The rising water and several cold fronts, have driven a lot of them out to deeper water. Water probably up at least 3 ft .

Ive heard when they get grey and mushy that they are absorbing them and they will not lay. But I'm not sure on that.
    It is what it is!
