    Default Transducer Angle

Can someone please explain to me? Why adjusting my transducer down just a touch. Made fish jump out to me more. Transducer has always been level and never have seen fish in SI like this. Could have been that they where never there but doubt that. DI has a better image too. Can someone please explain what is going on? Unit is HB 999 with up to date software version.

I can't. Adjusting the transducer angle just a touch should not have made this happen.

I would say the alignment looks good because the shadows are perpendicular to side of target. If bottom was fairly level, you have consistent contrast on both sides of the picture. If the bottom were level and you get a brighter contrast on one side then the left-right alignment is off. But it is easier to evaluate performance on a known static target than fish. If the DI looks better, then chances are it is because the SI was improved because it is composed from the SI.

Here is one before. Look at the structure it does not even show like the other pics. Fish are in this pic but does not show up as good as the other pics. This is when the transducer was level.

The older one has a range of 80' and the new one has a range of 50' ..... fish will show up bigger.

You might also try to make the 2D side smaller and give the Si more screen.
