That was probably Eagle Spur Trail. It an old rail road bed that runs parallel to New hope creek. You can access parts of the creek when it's not flooded, but you have to walk off trail about 50 yds in some spots. It eventually ends when you get to the mouth of the creek at Jordan Lake. You can have some fun fishing there, but it mainly a hiking/bird watching trail. You'll do better parking closer to the bridge and walking downstream along the creek.

Fished Eno yesterday up to Little River. Caught a lot of small males (one half pound) but no females. Had an issue when we returned to the ramp about 5:30. Two guys fishing on the dock refused to move for us. We forced our way on the dock anyway and one of them remained elbow to elbow to my buddy while I got the truck. There were also 2 cars parked on the turn around that made it hard to turn a trailer and back to the ramp. What's happened to the NO PARKING and NO FISHING ON DOCK signs that were there?? Also haven't seen a wildlife officer there in a couple of years.
Capt. that sucks. Some people are just jerks by nature... But, can I ask you guys. What is a "Keeper" size White Bass? At what point would you keep them to eat?

Personally I like the smaller whites to eat. Some where in the 10 to 12 inch.
NC open carry laws tend to reduce interactions with jerks like that. But seriously plug these numbers into your phone and don't hesitate to use them. REPORT WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS - 1-800-662-7137 (Raleigh Area 919-707-0040). This could fall into the unlawful harassment area which comes with a $1000 fine and imprisonment up to 30 days.
Thanks for the phone number. It's plugged in my phone and I will use it!!!
Thinking about going this afternoon... Anybody seen the conditions after the rains last night? Maybe I should head to Harris or Jordan? Fishengineer
I went last night and fished till dark. Caught 8 total and finally caught one that fought back. It was a little bigger than my size 12.5 shoe so not huge but nice all the same. I think it was still a male though as he only had a slight bulge. Most of the fish were caught in the last 30 minutes of light so bring a flashlight a plan on staying till dark.

Ended up going Thursday afternoon. Only caught 2 keepers. LOTS and LOTS of small males (or white perch, I could not tell the difference) ... ended up catching keepers in swampy area off of the flat. Water temp was 70 in the shallow water..... both fish were caught in 65 degree water. One was 2.7lbs at 17" long. New PB for ENO.
