    Default Mississippi car inspection stickers


    I was told today that after July 1st we would not have to buy car inspection sticker in Mississippi anymore. Their information was from Clarion Legion newspaper in Jackson, Ms.

    Back when they first started the inspections on cars the shops would check everything on your car and if it was not right they would not stick a new on it until everything was fixed. You even had the horn and headlights inspected to make sure they were set right and tires had to have the right depth thread or you had to replace them. But over the years all I had to do was say I need a sticker and they just put one on. Really you could not blame the service centers they really was not making enough money for doing this and keeping up with records and money anyway.

    been down here 10 years now and have taken my two vehicles to the same place year after year and they have yet to check one stinkin thing. give em 5 bucks and here they come with a scrapper and new sticker. what a scam...

    Been here 16 years and only gotten 2 or 3 inspections and that was when I got a ticket. Got the inspection, receipt, then got the ticket thrown out--no big deal
