    And different weather patterns too, seems like we always had water in the spring 30 years ago.

    I can imagine ole G and Satdoc out there then, homemade dugout johnboat, Bamboo poles, catgut line, and bone hooks.

    The lakes were deeper back then because they hadn't silted in. More cover left also. You couldn't RUN up to Wyatts like you can now unless you were in a Jon boat with a 25. Had to idle in there with a big boat and stay in the river channel.

    So this was after the dinosaurs evolved from scales to feathers? I just don't see a lizard scale teaser working that well on those saber tooth crappie.

    Actually Bill....the fishing was about like like it is now...it went in cycles just like now....good years and bad years. As far as pressure goes...there was some always lots of Memphis folks and others from TN, MO, and AR. Anyway it was good then and its good now....somewhat different as far as the silting in etc. and loss of cover etc. As far as the invention of gun powder Chris ....we were still rubbing sticks together to start a fire. And Chris#1....no dinosaur skin teasers were used...but we did make some with small strips tore out of our t-shirts lol....It was a lot of fun. Remember...growing old is a privilege that some never achieve.
