    Default Norman 3-11 crappie

decided to change things up today. This was my one and only shot to fill my freezer with crappie fillets with a buddy this spring. Fished hard and did good on deep brush.

Fished a few quality brush piles i found while trolling for striper that i marked and man did some of them hold good fish.

    Was trailered up by 1230.

Kept our 40 fish limit, and released about another 25 more.

    One more day of fishing.

Who wants to go Friday in the cold and rain??

Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.
Individual maker of the heavy duty "hybrid" A-rig Trolls just like an umbrella rig, Guaranteed to put fish in the boat

All I can say is we better fish hard before Pete catches them all! Great fishing Pete. If I were off work I'd sure go.

Well I fished Norman today too. I decided to put my boat in and take it to my bait store rather than getting it on the way in. My favorite bait stop, Lakeside Marine I think, no longer sells bait. So, I had to go back to my pier (Hager's Creek), get in the car and go to the closest place I knew of - the Shell station on River Highway (150) just east of the bridge. Well, traffic was backed up from past that point all the way back to Brawley School Road. So, it was 1:30 before I finally started fishing. Missed a couple, but only put one 15" spot in the boat. So, I need to go hang out with Pete for a while. Message me Pete if you have any tips. TW

They are all black crappie. A white crappie has a series of what looks like vertical lines. All of those look totally speckled which are black crappies.

Pete, I put in at Long Island fished there all docks, all brush piles, got all the way pass the 150 bridge and only caught 6 crappies. Put in at 7am and load boat back on the trailer at 8pm. That was a tough day of fishing.
