    Default Redneck fish scaler

A buddy of mine posted a video on my Facebook page of a guy scaling crappie with a electric mixer using just 1 beater. It took those scales off that fish in seconds.Would have to try it myself and see.Scaling fish is a mess anyway unless you have a $200 dollar tumbler.I tried to save the video and move it but it won't let me!You would have to wear safety glasses cause it was slinging em!Don't use your wife's good mixer!

If you enjoy making stuff do a google search for homemade fish scaler........... There are some neat contraptions out there.

Bill, do you keep this contraption down at the lake house? If so, let's give it a whirl one day. I want to see how well it works.

Yep, it's in the cabinet that GDG built for me in the den. Redneck fish scaler

We'll give it a spin. I've used it twice and it works like a charm. It'll beat their heads off if you pull um to long tho. Redneck fish scaler

I'll stick with my fillets. Just can't get past looking at a "fish" laying on my plate.
