I believe Weiss is a 3 pole limit per person. Up here in north Alabama you can use is many poles is you can handle.

WHAT IS THE WRITTEN RULE PERTAINING TO RODS ALLOWED ON WEISS WHEN "RIGGIN" ? I ASK CAUSE HERE IN MO. WE HAVE THE 3 POLE LIMIT ALSO BUT WE CAN, USE MORE W/OUR NAMES AND OTHER INFO ON OUR RODS? You can only fish with 3 at one time. You can have as many in the boat or dock as you want. You do not have to have your name on them. As far as rigging you can tie lures on 6 rods as long as you don't put more than 3 in at one time you are good. I have been know to reel one in so I could throw to a brush pile while trolling. Oh yeah this is the dumbest rule the state of Alabama has ever come up with.i don't troll much but if I did I would be calling someone about this daily.

You are correct superfly. On Weiss and Neely Henry it is 3 rods per person but for everywhere else in Alabama there is no pole limit. I hate the rule and we tried to fight it and get it changed but we have not been successful. I usually use 2 hooks per line but don't know if there is actually a law prohibiting more than 2 hooks per line. All the tournament rules that I know of limit you to 2 hooks per line in tournaments.
