    Default Lacassine Bayou

I fished the Bayou Saturday and Sunday. Water was muddy. I did manage to scrape a few for Good Friday. I met Mermentau out in his yak. Nice guy. I caught on Black/Blue and Black/Green feather jigs. 6 to 12 inches below a cork. Name: 20150214_140247_resized.jpg

Glad you got to catch a few. It's always better than staying home.

Too bad this rain and cold weather is going to set them back. The water was the lowest I have seen it in years. I just hope it doesn't come up too much.

I enjoyed meeting you too Mermentau. Sunday I met up with a guy who hit something and ripped off his lower unit. He was north of Loraine. He said he almost flew out the boat. Ended up in the front. He was very lucky. Broke off the mounting bracket where you bolt the lower unit to engine. He ha a good attitude about it. Said he was lucky it wasn't fatal. He said motors are replaceable.

I watch the Basile gauge and it's not looking too bad so far. I have my eye on Friday now.
