I have caught several at Eufaula through the years....3.0, 3.1 and 3.3 all out of the same stretch of water...and the last 2 were close but no cigar.
For the Everlasting Glory of the Infantry.
I've caught one a little over 3 lbs a few years ago. Just think, it only took me 65 years to do it.
2.80 is my PB ...but I was by myself and I let her go ...
That was before cell phones so I have no proof ... except to myself ...

I've caught a few over three over the years. Caught a lot in the last couple years that were just a bit shy of three too.

This came out of a private pond . Wish I'd had a scale to weigh her before releasing her .
Since , I've bought a scale and after weighing some I've caught lately , I really think this one was 3+ . Gillchaser

I have caught a good many over 17 inches that bumped 3 lbs, but only one that was 3.4, almost 18 inches long back in 96 at jorden, got it mounted . They are hard to come by around here, lot of people say they have caught them, but if they really weight them it would be a different story.
