    Default Big voids in baits?

A new issue is popping up! When I inject my molds with chartreuse to cut body section out add primary color I'm getting huge voids in 1/2 of the 12 baits. Could I be sucking air past o rings? How often do you change? I'm going to take off end of injector and fill. ( I know) dangerous and try and see if it's a air issue? I think it is? Have ya'll had this happen to you? Lot of time put in then disaster! Here are some that came out ok?

Are you leaving pressure on the injector after injecting??? I do a 5 count at least after injecting before I take pressure off injector and remove from mold. I then top off mold with plastic after removing injector. Doesn't require much pressure. Too much and you'll run into other problems.

Is it happening at the end of a color run? I mean is it happening trying to get the last bit out of a Pyrex? You might wanna try pushing alittle plastic back into the Pyrex before injecting molds, this will force the air out.

no its happening on the first shot...ill have two small cavity molds ready that a injector full is more than enough plastic for both molds and 2 or three cavities in each mold will be empty or partially filled. I tried holding pressure on it for 5 count then only one cavity was effected.

How hot is your plastic? Do you pre-heat your molds on initial shoot?

Since you are doing two color baits, it might be possible you are covering the areas to vent the air.

I have a couple molds that if I get it too tight and shoot the second color, it will pressurize and not let half the cavities vent leaving unfilled cavities but mostly big air bubbles big enough to make the baits useless. Pretty much right where the tails start. I had to keep tightening with less and less pressure until I found the sweet spot where I could get the air out and still not flash.
