A gen2 touch with 2d and di only probably lot cheaper than SI combo I guess they call it?

IIRC the other post was about an Elite 7 HDI not a HDS. ANY HDS unit regardless of generation will work with US2, remember US2 is 2d only and has nothing to do with DI/SI. I'm not familiar with the Terrova but if I remember right there is a groove in the shaft for the transducer cable to run in. The LSS 1 transducer cable was to large to fit in the groove, the LSS 2 cable is smaller but I don't know if it'll fit. I don't know how the HDI transducer cable compares, but I can't see it being any bigger than a LSS 2. Brian at BBG marine would be a good guy to ask what will and will not work with the Terrova.

I have a HDS gen1 8 and a gen2 8. Either one will work on the bow of my boats. I have a terrova with the built in sonar. on the pontoon and a Fortrex on my crappie boat. The only thing you will need is a short (about 7-8 inch adaptor cable) to connect the wiring from the terrova to your HDS unit. If I remember, their like 20 or 30 bucks.

The next thing I can see you getting is point1 (if you don't already have it). That is a game changer....well worth the money. Had a lcg4000 before the point1. Was ok, but the point1 is just so responsive to boat movement.

point1 is lowrances current "top of the line" gps antenna for the hds units. It has a compass integrated into the gps system. If you have been on boats and the boat is trying to find a predetermined brush pile a lot of the time you need to wait for the "boat to catch up with the cursor". With point1 you get immediate response from your gps due in part to the compass located in the unit. When you turn the boat your cursor turns with you.
