    Question When did underwear........

When did underwear become outerwear? Work tonight was especially busy ( Maintenance Tech) and as I went from machine to machine I notices just how many of the younger workers had there pants way down with half or more of there underwear showing. How did this become COOL and fashion statement when it looks so trashy, tacky, and is down right disrespectful to everyone involved. I guess butt crack is in and self respect is out.

I heard it was the thing to wear when in prison and it evolved from there.

Another sign of the "dumbing down" of our society. No self respect.

I had a aunt that once walked up behind one of the people that was weaing their pants half way down their rear and pulled them on down. When the person turned around an looked at her she just told them she thought that the were trying to take them off an she was just trying to help. They pulled them up where they belonged. I know it is not the responsibilty of the stores to screen people as they come into the store. But if all stores would put signs on the door saying that the will not allow this and enforce it, it might help.
