Best conditioner for our plastics
I have a lot of plastics stored in plano boxes for what ever reason...that don't get used right away. My question is there a solution to put on them, to keep them in good condition for years if not used? Do any of you guys use something like this to keep them in good condition? If so what is it?

I 've heard mineral oil but also heard it can cause plastics to harden ? I would also like to know what the right thing to use on plastics. Maybe one of the lure makers will chime in .

Pam cooking spray , u can add the garlic flavor if you like that too.

I have been using Pam original cooking spray for years.....works good. Put the baits in a zip lock bag....spray some Pam in the bag....zip it and shake it. That's how I store mine.

Don't know where I heard it, but I've been told that anise oil works. Don't really know tho.

Alot of fish attractants have it in there. We used it in snag line dip as some called ''no bait'' to dip the snag lines in. For those who don't know a snag line is like a trotline with hooks much closer together. We tied the drops so hooks turned points toward anything touching drops. I pour a bunch of my own plastics (for bass fishing) Do NOT use vegetable oil, it will penetrate your plastics and make them hard over time. Anise oil works or you can order "worm oil" from barlows, bass tackle.com or others it is made specifically for storing plastics baits. A small bottle will last a LONG time. You can get it scented or unscented. A couple drops in a bait bag is all it takes. This works for me.
