While we were fishing we were told by a fellow angler that he has caught several 4 pounders out of Conway and some over 5 in the Fourche River. Did I mention that he had a blue can in his hand? We also observed a bank full of wannabe anglers violently jerking their rods up under the 89 Bridge. It just so happens that a Wildlife Officer observed this. They were claiming that they were just "jigging hard". So my question to y'all is, if they were using crappie jigs would you consider this snagging or were they just "jigging hard"? We saw them hard jig up several crappie but mostly shad. I don't think any were hooked in the mouth. I'm not sure if they got any tickets, but they left after they were checked. I guess they had a guilty concious.Attachment 179772Attachment 179773Attachment 179774

I'm not sure if his name. He was in a smaller flat bottom with a female in the front. I think he was concentrating more on the blue cans, than fishing.

Snagging crappie? REALLY......that is stupid. Glad the Warden was there.
Started today at Atkins 3 game wardens at the boat ramp, said there were reports of people keeping multiple limits and they were going to really keep an eye on it, fished about 2 hours till the wind picked up then over to Golds creek. Also caught and released today. We ALL REALLY NEED TO START RELEASING THE BIG FEMALES!!! Takes years for them to get up to around 2 pounds and those are our brood stock. They will seed the generations to come!! Take a pic and release then keep the "eaters"!!
