    Default Hyd. Steering

So I've settled on installing hyd. Steering since my cables are shot. Anybody have an idea on what length hoses I need on my 18ft ranger?

Go over to BBC in the Ranger forum and you will get plenty of info, would love to do that myself. My cables are good nut my ole Merc sho does torque a lot, dang near run over John Mayo up at Enid one day trying to grab something and she turned hard right.

Haha--mine does that until trimmed up property. Mines been stiff for awhile and had about enough of it at the enid tourny. Couldn't get out of my own way lol.
I'll probably call Ranger--50/50 shot on the bbc board on a good answer imo as far as this goes.

Adjust your trim tab above the prop. If it pulls right move it right looking from the back

Mine is not adjustable, been this way since it was new in 1984. Prop makes a little difference, hull does not, been on 4 hulls over the years. up and down really don't seem to help either, it just torques, as long as you hold on its no big deal, 2 hands to turn at 5700rpms tho!!!!

Yeah if my motor broke and I couldn't figure it out (after asking don) I'd go to mike.
I'll install myself no need to take it anywhere. Don likes the uflex stuff but I'm going teleflex.
