There are some folks that are catching some in the deeper water near the creek channels but they aren't as big as the ones that I am catching in the flats right now. These were caught in 13 to 15 FOW fishing 10 to 12 ft. down and some caught the jig on the way down just 2 to 3 ft. down. Different story today though, we tried to go between rain showers, that didn't work, got wet and the wind was tough, caught three good ones and one hand size and brought our wet butts to the house. Wife caught 3 of the 4. I taught her well, lol.

Hi Don, been watching the Arkansas board for you to surface. Those are some very nice fish you are catching up there. I see Amy still has your number and is doing the 'catching' while you are doing the fishing like when y'all were down here on the Choctawhatchee. With the luck I'm having down here maybe I need to borrow her for a couple of days. Getting a few here but the bite is slow and small fish. Freddy and I will try the mullet at Alaqua on Monday.

Working on a 2 or 3 day trip over to Talquin before Christmas.

Yea JB, she is still putting a whoopin on me every now and then but I am very proud of her, she just started crappie fishing 3 years ago. Yaul load up and come on. Can't wait till spring when the bigguns are in 6 inches of water. Good luck at Talquin.

Thanks Don for the follow up. That's where I was catching good ones all summer glad to hear they are still there. Last winter I caught good ones when I could find deep water away from the channel. The channel has always been good for plenty of little ones in the winter.
