    Default Barren

Been a while since I've posted a report. Barren is at 528' only pulling 785 now (nothing). Bite was tough today, caught fish 12-14'. Not a lot of bites, but some decent size. Dark colored jigs worked best with the cloud cover. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1417660742.981057.jpg

    Brad,

Where are you finding the whites on Barren? I'm catching blacks probably 10-1 right now...

It seems some days ya go out and the area is mostly blacks and the next trip out the whites have moved in. Gonna give it a go in the morning and hope its not muddied up the channel.

Sorry Tim, didn't see your post till just now. Went out with BadBrad this morning and fished till non. We musta caught a hundred pound of hybrid but only 3 black crappie and one blue cat. It was pretty muddy and windy. The hybrid were fun but they don't fill the livewell.Name: brad.jpg

They are. Just have to make sure when you're taking the fillet off the skin, dont cut all the way down to the skin. Try to leave that red meat on the skin. The fillet tastes best if you trim all the red from it. Baked broiled or fried, it's delicious.
