It is actually prohibited to use magnification from a truck to watch a fisherman prefishing. It's ok to use them to check out a lake to see the layout but not to see how someone is fishing if they are prefishing a Crappiemasters tourney. I have confirmed that rule recently. If I am prefishing a tourney I don't want to see someone parked up on the levee with binoculars watching me to see technique and what type of bait I am using and what I am catching. The only time I ever have binocs in my boat is when pleasure fishing on a large lake with other friends on the lake in other boats and I use them to locate where their boats are so we can meet up on the water.....not to spy on anyone.

Thanks for the clarification on the rules about magnifying devices. I don't plan to use any Binos or anything else. I just like messin with folks about it.

I know you wouldn't think of doing that Bill, LOL! I just didn't want anyone else to get the impression it was ok and then get in trouble on a polygraph.

It would tickle me to death to catch a mess of 10 or 11 inchers.
If you need some tips I will be proud to tell you anything I know. You are right about one thing and that is you won't catch a good stringer with a bunch of people around. Our first mistake, won't happen again.
