    Default ethernet cable requirements


    I have a Humminbird 798 CI SI combo on the console & 788 CI HD at the bow- want to link them up to share info.- I believe I need is a ASEC10 Ethernet cable & 2 ASECQDE adapters-just want someone more "tech savy" to confirm this. In advance I appreciate your time & help- thank you

    If the 798 does not have "HD" in the model name- it is not Ethernet capable...

    If both 700 series unit are indeed, the "HD" model ...you are correct...

    You will need...:

    *1 qty AS ECxx E ...ethernet cable (where "xx" is the length cable you need)...it comes in 2', 10', 15', 20', 30' lengths...
    Humminbird | AS EC 10E

    *2 qty AS EC QDE ...ethernet adapter cables...(this is because the Ethernet cable end will not fit into the quick attach base of the 700 HD series units...nor will it plug into the head unit Ethernet socket)...
