Cranking with ScottV weights
Last week I got a shipment of crankbait pushing weights from ScottV I couldn't wait to try them out so I went out to beat the heat Fish from 7 to 1130 Pushed 4 pulled 6 crankbaits
Chrome and blue, Mistake, And black produced best In the 10 to 12 foot depth range Most of the fish caught were too small to keep.

It sure is nice Being able to take them off and store them on a swimming pool noodle Before I had a 3 ounce egg sinker With the line wrapped through it about 5 times And was very cumbersome when storing rods and was more drag on the line when trolling.
And just as REES said when there's trash on the water the weights collect it on the line before it gets to the crank bait

ScottV is a good guy! Have not looked at his weight so guess maybe I need to. I bough a rod especially for pushing a few years ago and never have even used it yet, LOL!

We caught plenty of dinks like the small 1 in pic that got hooked deep or it would have went back. Its been hard to find the big fish after the cool snap and the super moon. Caught on Cypress Lake

Glad they worked for ya, if its trashy I go to them for sure, caught about as many pushing with them this morning as I did pulling.

Dont know what colors your running but catfish really like orange and pink

I don't have any pink or orange crankbaits I would guess that chrome and blue, bluegill, or black produced the most cats although I have 2 red crankbaits that I dont fish anymore because all they catch is catfish
