Default Theft from KY Lake fisherman

I was going to let you folks know a fisherman had a bunch of crappie trolling gear stolen out of his boat at Cypress Creek. My wife saw it on Facebook or somewhere that I don't frequent.

    The guy lost:
2 16 foot Capps and Coleman trolling rods
    2 other crappie rods
4 Okuma 7.5 foot trolling rods
    Okuma line counter reels
    box of Bandit crankbaits.

I do know there is a $500 reward posted

I can get contact info if anybody knows anything.

Hope they get em. It amazes me the nerve of someone to step off into someone's boat and help themselves to stuff that don't belong to them. God don't like ugly.

I don't know the particulars of where the boat was located, whether it was in the water, in a slip, or on the trailer. I have to say I avoid any situation I can that involves my boat being left for anything but a couple of minutes when my tackle and electronics are in it. If I park my rig at a store or restaurant, I want to be where I can see it.

Hate to hear that. The victims might ck the local pawn shops and keep an eye on on-line classifieds. They might show up. Wish them all the luck in locating them.

Friend of mine lost a brand new trolling battery and fillet knives out of his boat a few weeks ago. It was parked at his trailer in pirates cove. The thieves removed the cover, stole the items and placed the cover back on. Just makes you wonder about today's society...

It's not just today's society. I had two batteries stolen out of the back of my truck at the Big Bear ramp parking lot over 20 years ago. Trash is trash. Always has been and always will be.

Yup, I really dislike a thief. Part of the reason I keep my boat covered when traveling. Outa sight...outa mind.
