I think I've been behind on my posting. I have made a couple mini trips to Falls Lake. Last Sunday Afternoon and Yesterday afternoon. Only a few hours a piece. Last Sunday was tough. I was fishing lay downs and Brush and it took most of the trip to find a few. Finally found some though off a lay down in 13' of water say 7'. Caught Six that were keeper, then it was time to head home.
Yesterday I had a couple hrs to sneak away while Mrs. Redboat and Daughter went to a birthday party. This time I went to the upper part of the lake and fished under a bridge in the shade. Managed 8 keepers all 10-11'. fishing approx 11' vertical jigging 1 pole/1 jig right next to the pilings. No skiers in that part of the lake and I was in the shade!
I may go back after work one day this week and see if I can find some around the stumps and such along the river channel.. Another month or so it will be Eno river time!

I launched at Hickory Hill and fished under Cheek road. I drove over hwy 50 on the way home and it was a zoo over there.
Are the Fall's crappie moving up in the creek's early this year? The Kerr Lake crappies seem to be a little ahead of schedule.
No fool's no fun !
I fished up the Flat for a couple of miles and the Neuse down to the sharpe bend last Thursday with no luck on crappie!!

Haha. I am not worried about it. Maybe it will help with the perch population.
