I also like to run an smaller sized jig on bottom! Size's depending on how deep we are catching! Same here about watching the suspended fish and jigs.

I do this when pulling (longlining) jigs (which I rarely do) but haven't tried it vertical jigging. Might have to give it a try.

I always double my hang ups when I vertical jig with two so I would like to hear how you avoid that? Also if I hang one I can usually get it out but two seems to create a bolo effect and those two jigs are gone forever. I know. I know. Amateur mistakes from a geezer......

Ciller, I have lost my fair share of jigs when fishing 2 at a time!! However I believe that if you start using the hooks with the fiber weed guard that will be a thing of the past! (I sound like a commercial for Timmy Tom) Fished the last 3 weekends and have lost 0 jig heads. Normally I would say would be 3-6. Oil Drainer and I were talking last weekend, that when the winter fishing with 2 jig heads gets here, we are going to loose waaaaaay less jigs! Heck I may even try 3 jig heads if it's legal, will have to research that!

Thanks Redge! I am excited to try them out- see if they are more effective than stick guards
