    My bad....I didn't no that other brands could be used in that shallow water.i no I catch a lot more fish sense I've been able to see out from my boat

    Horrray for you KOZ. I don't need a 4000 dollar unit to catch fish shallow. Ask Chaunc or billbob or donG or Slab.

    All hummingbirds do what I've talked about in this thread.this is from my 998.
    I don't still have shots from the 997 but it does the shallow water just as

    I have an 899 that sees beds in less than 3 foot of water just as good as your 998. Others make pretty pictures and may do well in deeper northern lakes. Though, Humminbirds seem to work best for me in our shallower lakes in south Ga and Florida. Not to mention on the coastal flats.

    Komso, they are fish in them beds. You aren't doing your job. Stop taking pictures and fish.
