    Yep......I have never plugged the lights in on my SeaArk....I keep them stored on my boat but I am never in the water anymore at night. I dont launch in the mornings before day light. But you could just pull the stern light out each time and lay it in the boat before you put it in the garage.

    We launch before daylight, I could do that but I know I would back in and forget & tear down rod rack or tear something up

    Just cut the tube and shorten it....as long as its above the top of your motor where it can be seen in all directions you will be legal

    Its supposed to be higher than the highest object on your boat to be legal
