    Default KY Lake Question

I had a place at Blood River Campground about 14 years ago. Had the place for 6-7 years. I used to murder the crappie up in Crappie Hollow in the stake beds and brush piles. Anybody fish this area anymore? Just wondering, thanks.

In the spring when the spawn is on you need a ticket to get into crappie hollow. The very back is silted in bad and much too shallow to fish in most parts of the year. I'm sure there are good numbers of crappie caught up in there at times. Most of us longliners and trollers concentrate on the deeper areas of Blood.

Likely due to the KDFWR tagging study article, that showed how the tagged fish staged & stayed in that area.

Crappie Hollow has always been the go to spot for minnow drowners and bobber watchers. It's the biggest shallow flat south of Jonathan Creek until you get into TN.
