Default Think I'm hanging up the crappie tackle

Until the end of September . Gonna do some red and spec fishing in Louisiana in August. Martin is over 100 ft deep in spots and I'm thinking these crappie must be in these deep holes hiding from me. I know where they will be in the winter and spring.

I wouldn't think they would be below the thermocline do to being void of oxygen.....what depth is the thermocline showing on your fish finder ? Deep water clear lakes have always been hard for me to fish.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I cant tell you how many hours I fished on Grenada before catching them, did a lot of fishing and then started going to some EASIER lakes and did some catching, aint learning much just dragging the lips off your cranks.

Yep Rees, I agree. My bro in law lived in New Orleans for 20 years and did a lot of fishing south of NO this time of year. I'm going with him and mark a few spots if they hit like he claims. That will be some fun, just have to try and see.

I understand the part about waiting until Sept for crappie fishing. Come Sept I plan to fish as often as possible.
    FISH ON
