I found a few of these poles that are what i think old abandoned Telegraph poles sunk in 30 ft of water along the channel of Shoals Creek in Wheeler Lake. I dont know if anyone else has ever encountered a telephone pole *i believe it is one because before it was broken off by a boat it had spike holes all the way to the top. A couple of years ago this particular pole was about 1 ft below the surface when the water was drawn down. I found it by accident and have been catching crappie off it since. It has been hit by a boat in recent months and it was broken off about 6ft below the surface and you have to find it with the graph. (have it marked on my GPS)

Since finding that one I have found 3 more within a few hundred yards of this one and at the same depth (30 ft) All of them hold fish but the one I found first has fish on it year round. I havent fished in weeks and last weekend I took my brother out for a couple hours on Saturday and he caught some real nice fish off of it while I kept missing mine. They shut off as soon as the boat traffic started picking up. Im gonna give it a go in the AM I think. Perhaps this little cool snap will turn them on.
