Greenbacks were a post front bust, but we started early. 8oclock rolled around with nothing but stripe so far so we put it on the trailer, came to the house and got Hi-Tek rod holders and the Bnm's and headed back to Woods. The Extremes really do a good job holding the rods, even at 90*. We went back to where I've been doing so well and we were into fish in no time at all. 2 - 3+lb Catfish showed up today and gave Cam a fit, thought we were hung on the bottom. Lost 2 cranks today, the first losses so far, and even the knocker couldn't retrieve the one. The other was on one of the rods the cats had come on. Had the fish on the way into the boat and he overshot and went over the other side, line went pop, goodbye one chartreuse 300. Should have retied after the cats had rolled in the line. We had a good time with all the Crappie through the boat, and of course the stripe that filled in some of the slow times. Camryn said we had over 50 crappie in our hands today and I don't doubt it, I stopped counting at 35. Lots could have gotten the invitation to dinner but they all still swim. I've had a great time with my Best Girl these past few days and she goes home tomorrow way to soon. Wont be the same fishing by myself, I've gotten used to the company. Thanks for all the comments and following her visit, and I hope you have some near this good soon........Skeet.
