Default Rut Roh - Melted Gewbers.

What was supposed to look like this:

Is being delivered looking like this:

And that's not good. I guess this is what testing is all about.

Not sure how hot it gets at the post office, has to be over 120 degrees to do that. But it does point out I need to make it so it holds up better to the heat.

It should still be usable though. Cut off small chunks with a knife and try it out. Use small pieces so it does not interfere with the jig action. It's just supposed to add a scent and something soft to bite into. You should not need big pieces. The pre cut size was only 1/4 inch round. And if it's too soft after the "meltdown", you could leave it out to dry a little over night. It'll toughen it up.

But for now, it's back to the drawing board for me. I need it to tolerate higher heat. Go ahead all you tested and see if it catches fish though. The scent will remain the same. Thank you all for your help.

Ed.....the ones that I have in the jars have been sitting on the deck of my boat all week in the sun....It has been 96 here all week and mine are just fine.....maybe its because mine are separated and in a jar instead of a bag. dunno.....that boat deck gets pretty hot in the sun though.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I still think the post office is purposefully microwaving it! lol

The funny thing is, I know in the jar in the sun, they will eventually melt. But it has to be pretty hot. So that goes back to my theory that the USPS is sabotaging my gewbers! lol

j/k about the USPS microwaving them. But it was hot here at the beginning of the week when I mailed them out, so they must have stored them in their glass greenhouse or something cause they got hot.

Here is what mine looks like, just received it yesterday (June 19, 1024), mailed date June 16, 2014.
(THANKS SLAB, got the decals and will deliver shortly)
Looks like a rolling pin has been applied to it.
I think that the cancelling machine at the USPS has a lot to do with the flattening and melting of the product.

Mine looked the same. I think they are being flattened by a postal machine also.
I ll cut them up and still be able to test.
    Thanks Ed

Maybe that's it then. They getting flattened. I thought I could get away with just sending them air mail. Oh well, they'll have to be shipped in a box then. That's not good, it'll cost more to ship as the product would cost.

Would think that instead of making a disc, then making the circles, to separate it, you could extrude the product, and then just slice it up, once your ready to mass produce it. Maybe you need some type of container, to put it in, like small pill bottles.
