Received mine yesterday, flattened but not melted. Now to find time to put them on a hook.

Another easy way to extrude it would be with a meat grinder! Electric of course. You could choose the size diameter you want, leave out the cutting blade. Would have extruded ropes of it. Or you may be able to put the cutter blade in and have small disks of it. Might be able to alter the # of cutter knives for a shorter or longer piece of material.

    Received my "gewbers" on Monday.
they were in good shape, not melted, mashed or damaged. Tried them on a short trip today, only caught 3 crappie, one on a gewber tipped , other on jigs without. Did catch 6 - 10/12" catfish, 3 of them on gewber tipped jig. Not really a good test, was on a small city lake, Hope to give them a good test when weather cools off a bit. Thanks, Slab. I will do more testing and reporting.

Mine appear to be the same. Maybe not so much melted as flattened by post office?

They still got fish both gills on micro jigs and crappie on jigs. This was the first time I had ever used a product like this for tipping my jigs it's usually hunk of worm or minnow. This is nice not to have bait with me, I can just carry these.
I was thinking cut up in bigger pieces they mite work very well for walleye also. Thanks

Slab, you can request the package be marked "Fragile" and the package will not be run through the sorting machines. My understanding is the larger offices have sorting machines and that's probably what is causing the "flattening". The reason I know this is that if you mail a key to some one, you better not put it in an envelope or it will be mashed out of the envelope in the sorting machines.
The post office has the "Fragile" stamp so it won't cost you more or add time.

Ship em as a flat mass and the user can cut it or tear off a small piece. I dont think the fish will care how it looks, as long as it smells and tastes right.
