    Fried green tomatoes, brown beans, a cucumber and spring onion out of the garden, with home made cornbread. There ain't a professional chef in the country that can compete with that meal. I get sleepy thinking about just finishing it.

    Growing up, we were never allowed to fry a green one until we had our first ripe one. I guess my folks were afraid the ones we chose to fry would be the first to ripen, lol

    Yeah we have a dozen as big as my fist just begging to be fried but my old lady has sworn to kill me if I eat a green one before she gets a ripe one.
    Everyday spent outdoors with good company is worth the time and effort it takes to make it happen. Take a friend fishing!
