Since this is your first boat, my suggestion is take what you got and go use it for awhile. Learn about your boat and electronics. Find out what you like and don't like. Then you can make more informed decisions for yourself. You might find you need other things first before the latest greatest electronics. I'm making the assumption that you are on a budget so you need to get the best bang for your buck within your budget.
