Default Way points on HB 1199

Can I name waypoints and if so, how?

I use humminbirdpc. Put the card in your puter and download the card into humminbirdpc. Edit the waypoint names with the keyboard. Upload it back to card. Done. If you only have one or two to rename, I'd probably just do it on the unit. If you have many, your thumb will thank you for using the pc.

Well, HumminbirdPC is the software. It should be available for you to download and install on your PC from Humminbird. It's in the same place you go to get your updates for your 1199. All waypoints are stored in your 1199, not on the map card. Install a blank SD card in the other slot and export the waypoints to it. Then once you make the changes to the names you import them back into your unit. More detailed instructions on import and export are included in the 1199 manual. Very simple process once you do it one time.

This link should get you started. Also, I believe there is a help menu in humminbirdpc.
