We used bout 10 lbs of ice, & probably half dozen or so frozen 20 oz bottles and recirculated water couple times per hour probably & all 9 fish we had to pick from were still spunky at weigh-in. Didn't have thermometer to keep in livewell, just used the ole cold hand scale. Hee hee.

for sure ... but, with us being only 0.28lbs from 2nd place, I believe the big male that died would have weighed that much more than the smallest "live" one that we did weigh.

Just a lesson learned ... take care to keep your fish alive, especially during the warm water tourney periods. We "fizzed" that fish, chemically treated the water, cooled the water some, and kept the recirc pump on to aerate the livewell water ... and it still died.

Almost makes me want to shorten the Taylorsville tourney hours

    ... cp
Just wait till later to catch all your good fish and catch the small ones early.

No seriously its hard to keep fish alive sometimes when its hot out, our big fish was caught before 10 a.m. and we were sweating it. I told slabeye he should have waited till about 1:30 to catch it....... you can imagine the look i got.
