Default Guess Who Got Their First Boat?

I know this is more of a general discussion post, but you guys are my community so I wanted to share it here. You can move it if it needs to be moved, its no problem.

Went up yesterday a bit north of Columbia and brought her home. 1989 Winner 16' Fiberglass. 1993 90 HP Yamaha "Precision Blend" Motor. 50 lb Minn Kota Power Drive. Came with a Hummingbird Wide Panorama Fish Finder for up front and a Hummingbird 587 ci HD with Down Imaging.

It was quite the adventure getting it home. Had a tire blow out on I-70 at about the 37 Mile Marker West Bound. Ran to walmart and got a tire/wheel because I needed a spare anyways and got it the rest of the way home. The tires were old and only 2 ply. Taking them in tomorrow to get new 6 ply put on. Hoping to hit Bucksaw Friday with any luck, but not sure I'll have it all ready to go by then yet. I never realized all the things the go with having a boat AFTER you get the boat haha. But I am really excited to finally have a boat, I've been wanting one so badly. It seems to have really been taken care of. Been stored inside and covered its whole life and it shows.

See you all on the water!

Congrats man. Glad it worked out for you to get it. Looks like a clean rig and will make you a good first boat. I will have to keep an eye out for it on the water. I will try and get you a MO CDC decal for it. The we will know it's you. Congrats.

I believe the 587 has GPS. Of so look into getting a lake master chip for it. Best $125 a guy fishing Truman can spend. Certainly for someone new to the lake and boating. It will keep you out of trouble when running the lake.

I will for sure get one tomorrow. Jigfisherx (Jeff) recommended I get one last night when he ran over to look at it (we live minutes away from each other). I looked them up today and it looks really handy to have. I saw I need the south chip based on what I saw. Do you know where would be the best place/price to walk in and buy one so I don't have to order it?

Also thanks for the decal offer, I was going to look around the site to see where I get one at have to represent!

Congrats on the new boat. looks like a clean rig with good accessories.
X 3 on the cards for the lake. One thing is don't believe the depths on the maps. Trust the depth finder and Subtract from the map depth to get approximate depth.

I found one of those "map errors" by plowing mud during camp. Shoulda ben watchin the depth finder instead of drinkin coffee.

Only a matter of time. Sounds like the journey home was rough. Glad you got her home safe though. Can't wait to get out on the water and finally get in on the action we've been missing out on. I'm sure you've got cabin fever for sure now!
