Heeeelllllll Noooooooooooo. If I dont have a issue on the ramp, Im sure I'd end up helping some stranded boater with kids. They always get me. Pass. And if I hear all the emergency trucks going down the road like they do sometimes. Bad things can happen out there. Ya'll be safe, have fun, get some!

Already been a water rescue on El Dorado. I remember a few years back guy had his ranger bass boat behind his minivan with the wife trying to back it. He yelled at her to stop, she did, and his boat left the trailer 20 ft short of the ramp

It'll be the best show of the year this weekend. I fished all week so I wouldn't feel the need to be out there. I'm always amused at the boats stuck on the side of the highway with frozen trailer wheel bearings and flat tires.

I dont go cause sometimes its not funny at all. Heard the sirens going by today. Phone starts ringing. Story I hear is 2 kids found in a boat out of Hillsdale point ramp, wearing life jackets. " Daddy went in the water but didn't come out". I fish out of HD point. My kids asking daddy should we go help look. Drove by round 730, ramp area closed.

Thoughts and prayers for the family and those kids.

You're right duckhunter, it can be a sad day. Tease me or not, my promise to my wife is that I'll always wear my mustang when moving or fishing alone. I can swim well, but things don't always work out the way you plan.

+1 Thoughts and prayers for the family.

    Default Crappie Cove Ramp

It always amazes me how many have dead batteries when trying to start a motor after sitting all winter. And then there are the poor wives that has never backed a trailer before, being told to turn it to the left, to the left, your other left, then get yelled at for jackknifing the trailer winch handle into the tailgate.
The best is when someone forgets to put the truck into forward, from reverse, then guns the throttle to get up the ramp. By the time they get it into forward the bed is full of water and too heavy for the motor to pull it up the ramp.
You all have a safe weekend.
Several Years back when the water was high and up in the Willows I sat and watched 2 Fish & Game Officers try and launch there service Boat,,the Male Warden launched the Female Warden and went to park the truck,,as he walked back to the ramp she was waving her arms and yelling to bring the trailer back because they had forgot the Plug. So,he frantically tried to get backed in,,,10 to 12 times jacking the trailer as the boat was listing,,finally he got it straight and she had it lined up.By now the Boat is at a 45 degree angle front to back,,,she guns it forward and miss's the front roller and SLAM's into the Tailgate!!! LMAO,,this was before Video Recorders on Phones and definitely would have Won $10,000 on "Americas Funniest Videos" with out a doubt!!!
