Default Preparing for fall deer hunting .... Already

I have some time off this week ,and with the colder weather messing up my bank fishing plans , I decided to work on my food plots for deer .
I mowed an acre of weeds , and plan to spray with round up soon , then plant turnips later in the summer .
Also cleared two stand sites . I got a lot done today . Should pay off in the fall .

I've been thinking about doing the same. Need to reseed one and Shane and I need to clear a couple more spots. Our turnips and beets came up good last fall and they sure do like them
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Better get this started and have a successful season. Spring camp will be here before you know it and I don't think she will let me come home from camp with out a stick of your famous deer sausage

I had good luck with it last year . I plan to use round up next week to control the weed growth and delay planting any turnips until late summer . I'll probably buy some arrest , selective herbicide to control the weeds in my clover plot without harming the clover .
