We were coming back into our cove on our pontoon boat last summer. Out in the middle there were a couple of kids in the water next to their Seadoo and I noticed a snake in the water heading in their general direction. I swung the boat around and tried to run over the snake but he went underwater. I went back by the kids in the water and told them they should probably get back on their Seadoo and move on since I didn't know where the snake had gone. I hate snakes!

My uncle was deathly afraid of snakes. We were in an aluminum boat and one tried to get in the back with him. He always fished with one rod that was a heavy fiberglass rod. You would have thought a prop was churning the water. I laughing, got on him for scaring the fish. He said as long as I have any rod left, he is NOT coming in this boat.

My wife and fishing partner would have been sitting on my HEAD... LOL
Sounds like everyone has a snake in the boat story, me included.
I once beat a wooden boat paddle into toothpicks on a copper head that fell into the boat on the front deck with me.
Scared the crud out of me.....

We are fishing under the bridge and see this snake coming right at the boat, I said Kyle that snake is coming right at you, so he hit it with the rod twice. Needless to say it did not stop the snake he came under the boat and the next thing we know he was crawling on the back deck. So at this point Im digging out my wooden pole that goes to my umbrella, James is laughing, Kyle screaming like a little girl. I get after it with that pole and he curls up right under my motor on the jackplate. I hit him in the head I can't believe that snake crawled up in the boat with us. Just last weekend we seen a cottonmouth eat a pigon. So don't think Im not watching for snakes very closely. Ive seen more this year than ever.

Now who wants to go fishing with me? LOL EB
At least we know that snake had good taste!

Guess I'm of the minority here. I love snakes. Catch them all the time. Even have a Florida kingsnake and an eastern indigo snake as pets. These guys are not even a year old yet. Just babies.
