Pictures of crappie in a bikini!!! How odd! Seems like an odd way to display fish. Does it matter how the women are dressed???
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

I agree, Rees always has positive comments on any subject, I respect his comments as much or more than anyone on here. He is very knowledge about what is going on and very civil in explaining his position, even when someone doesn't agree with him he never gets out of line. If we all followed his example, myself included we would have less closed threads, and a even better site than this already is. At least that is the way that I see it.

I had no idea that people consider crappie fishing a sport, and when I discovered this fact, I knew I was wrong in thinking that people respect crappie as a food source. That's what it is to me and my family. It is probably the third largest source of our food.

Some of us are actually harmed by the sharing of information.
The idea that no one else knows your secret honey hole at Sardis, Enid, Grenada, Pickwick, etc. is nuts. I often see boat after boat hit the same spots during the course of the day in Crappie or Bass fishing. Fish move. Especially in these transition periods where they move alot over a short period. I do not expect anyone to post detailed information about how they caught all these fish on a sky blue orange jig head with a super duper squiggly tail body in 13.5 feet of water at latitude 34.87567 longitude 89.192992 and had to use a skipjack retrieve on a 12 foot flim flam rod. As I said I don't even think you should only post success. Post information about what didn't work helps also.

If you are worried about feeding a family by catching Crappie, then don't post any information. I don't think these lakes will get fished out. I don't think sharing some info will make everyone Wally Marshall. Heck if you talk to 10 people who caught fish in one day, you might hear of 6 different techniques used. I have seen many discussions on this board about lure colors. On the same posting I have see someone say Pink was the color and we caught nothing on Black then a few comments later they caught 5 to 1 on Black over pink. I think the data actually backs that up in that people are still catching fish in these lakes year after year.

It is just helpful to be able to do a little research and be able to make an informed decision to spend the $50-$100 you will for a trip and be able to have a little better chance to catch some fish on that trip. I guess you can do a trip cheaper than I have to with gas, insurance, boat payment, bait, equipment etc, but i know it is cheaper for me to go to Kroger and buy fish than it is for me to catch them myself.

So thanks to those who feel like me and are willing to help others in their fishing endeavors. I will keep giving some sort of report when I can.

Now I've learned a lot from here, don't fish the tournaments, and don't talk to but a few members on the board outside of the board... God forbid you don't learn everything about crappie fishing in the time it takes you to make four posts. If you have question, post them in a thread. You will usually get legitimate answers unless you whine or bellyache or throw rocks at others. Most folks on here are friendly and rib each other in good fun.

Geeze I've seen more complaining and crap on this MS board in the past few weeks than I have ever. Fish need to start biting to get everybody off their computer
