Nice fish. If you put a swivel and a bead with a leader of a few feet down to your jig, the board will catch on the bead above the swivel and won't knock the fish off near as bad. Looks like you had fun.

Got off work early today and had one thing in mind, fishing. I got to the lake and let the lines out. I started out long lining and was doing pretty decent. I had to try after learning from Creekslick. Yup it works down here too. I used 6 poles and had a nice easy time fishing. Got bored and so I put on some planer boards. Wasn't long and I figured out what to do and not to do with em. I caught my first ever fish on a planer and it won't be my last. The wind was howling but these two techniques proved to be good today in the wind. The wind even laid down and I got a few single pole fishing. I didn't break out the spider at all and just had a good time experimenting. All fish released to fight another day. Bait of choice was arkie solid tubes and a nibble. Here are a few pix![]()
